Mystery

The Spanish version of The Prestige, a story of a prolonged feud between two stage magicians in late 1800s England and which Christopher Nolan’s celebrated film of the same name is based on. If one of the illusionists presents a trick, the other overcomes it as quickly as he can. Their struggle turns into a frenzied race that perpetuates the hostility between them beyond physical and temporal boundaries.

The cover design features a trick box commonly used by illusionists of the period. The ruse here features both a disturbing and exhilarating illusion in tune with the fantastical but chilling edge of the novel. The slab serif typeface completes the 1800s England setting.
