Trilogía del Sprawl
William Gibson
Minotauro (2022)
Science Fiction

The Sprawl trilogy is William Gibson's first set of novels, composed of Neuromancer, Count Zero, and Mona Lisa Overdrive. Set in a near-future world dominated by corporations and ubiquitous technology, the events of the novels are spaced over 16 years, and although there are familiar characters that appear, each novel tells a self-contained story focusing on the effects of technology: the unintended consequences as it filters out of research labs and onto the street where it finds new purposes.

The cover designs for the Spanish edition of this classic seminal work of cyberpunk borrow from an 80’s graphic style; contemporary to the book’s publishing the covers aim to introduce many of cyberpunk’s tropes to a wider audience. To convey a point of view of the future from a trilogy that was written at the beginning of the IT revolution, our cover cooks used Daz3D assets to create three related characters and Photoshop to add textures and graphic elements that imitate the style of early computer-generated imagery. The fonts are also visibly pixelated to mimic the appearance of early low-resolution computer text.
